It is very popular with tourists and also local people drive there. There are even places to have your own BBQ. You can escape the heat of Alanya and relax next to the cool water. (The water is NEVER warm, no matter how hot the weather would be.) There are many many restaurants along the water and you can find a place to sit in “a floating hut” or even up in the trees. Most of the restaurants have delicious fish dishes made of fresh fish from the river.
Some of the restaurants even have water slides and other water toys, but there are also more quiet places further away from the activities where you might find lovers relaxing or older people like me reading and sleeping.
